The much-loved CAMRA Beer and Cider festival is making a welcome return to Stockport this June.
The festival, which is run by Stockport and South Manchester CAMRA volunteers, will return to the Masonic Guildhall from 18-21 June, in what will be its 38th iteration.
This time there will be around 280 beers, ciders and perrys, all sourced from independent producers; many are local - others come from exciting international locations such as Krakow, Barcelona, Stavanger and more.
Lots of the drinks across all bars are suitable for vegans and vegetarians, and some are also gluten-free.
Further still, as well as the drinks, there will be live entertainment, food, pub games, traders, a family area, and even a colouring competition for young people (the best entry will win a £50 voucher from the Stockport-based Almond Pub Group, plus a case of beer for the grown-ups).
The music has been sourced by Stockport Music Story - among the performers are the Stockport Ukulele Band, Blind Tiger, 90 Proof, and New Rose. Rounding off proceedings on Saturday are The Tall Faces featuring special guest Pete Maclaine, whose band toured with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
Festival organiser Jim Flynn said "Thanks to all our volunteers and sponsors, we are once again able to present the biggest selection of beer, ciders and perries in the North West here in Stockport. The festival has something for everyone to enjoy, so please come and join us for some midsummer madness. "
Entrance is free for CAMRA members, but to claim this, tickets must be booked in advance. For further information on brewers, entertainment, buying tickets and more, visit the Stockport Beer and Cider festival website.
