We'll be at the wonderful Romiley Forum for this exciting event.

Tickets are £7.99 per child and that includes a copy of the book for Andy to sign and one adult is included for free. For two adults to attend, tickets are an additional £3.00 (£10.99). Children must be accompanied by at least one adult. Age range for the book is 7-11 years.

Event starts at 10am with doors at 9:30am.

About Andy Griffiths

Andy Griffiths is an Australian writer of funny books for kids, including the Treehouse series, the JUST! books and, most recently, Adventures Unlimited: The Land of Lost Things.

His story in five chapters

Chapter 1 (0-6 years)

I was born in Melbourne Australia in 1961. At first I was quite small but then, each day I grew a bit bigger. And bigger. And bigger.

Chapter 2 (6-20 years)

As soon as I was big enough to pick up a book I was reading, and once I learned how to use a pencil, I was writing little stories, rhymes and cartoons for the amusement of myself, family and friends.

Chapter 3 (20-30 years)

Once fully grown I did an honours degree in Literature, formed a punk band, worked in hotels, drove taxis, taught high-school English and self-published little books, which I sold at markets.

Chapter 4 (30-60 years)

A publisher introduced me to illustrator Terry Denton. Over the next 30 years we collaborated on 32 bestselling books, which have won over 100 children's choice awards, 10 Australian book Industry Awards, and been published in more than 35 countries, selling over 20 million copies worldwide.

Chapter 5 (60+ years)

One day I met illustrator Bill Hope (who used to read my books when he was younger) and we began collaborating on a brand-new series called Adventures Unlimited. The first book, The Land of Lost Things, was published in 2024, and the next book, The Very Deep Hole, will be published in 2025.
