Dear readers, 

I'd like to take the opportunity to wish you all a very merry Christmas, and to thank you very much for reading this year. 

This year marks almost three years since Stockport Nub News was established - and it's been a pretty important time for us.

We've covered a host of new openings, engineering projects, and huge events.

Every view, click, share and so forth helps greatly, and allows us to keep producing our news, so thank you as ever.

Naturally, we're a local newspaper, and so in an effort to remain 'on brand' I'd like to give a virtual toast with a special emphasis on Stockport.

More specifically, a toast to all of our connections, however tenuous, to this humble little corner of the world.

Wherever you live in the borough or if you've moved from here to somewhere else in the world, we all have some experience of Stockport. Perhaps a shared memory of a particular street; a similar experience of a big event; or a distinctly local inside joke.

In that sense, we all have something quite peculiar in common. And given the scale of the universe, I'd argue that counts for quite a bit!

In any case, Merry Christmas and all the best for the new year.
