A Coronation Street star visited Edgeley Park to meet a superfan of both County and Corrie.

Vicky Myers - who plays DC Lisa Swain in the much-loved soap - came to meet Barrie Clayton, a lover of both Stockport County and Coronation Street.

Herself a Stockport local, Vicky had heard 'on the grapevine' that Barrie was a fan and decided to come down - she met him and handed over a brand-new first-team shirt.

Barrie had been at County's 90 Minute Club. Organised by the County Community Trust, it's designed to provide reminiscence opportunities to local people aged 60 and over who might be facing dementia, loneliness, or who just fancy a bit of a get-together.

Vicky said it was a 'delight' to visit Edgeley Park and meet Barrie.

"We had a really lovely conversation", she said. "He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of both Corrie and football and we enjoyed reminiscing about various actors and players.

"Seeing the full impact of the Community Trust's 90 Minute Club was great, too.  It's a fantastic way for local people to get together, have a chat and take a trip down memory lane."
