Stockport County have announced a new Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Gavin Bailey will replace Tom Mahon as the club's COO this year, following Mahon's two-year stint with the football club. 

The club said the reason for Mahon's departure is due to his desire to explore new opportunities.  

The team have personally thanked Mahon for his dedication to the role during a 'key growth period' which witnessed the team's promotion to League One.  

The club said the new COO has lots of experience in the operation of large businesses, with his most recent role overseeing the expansion of CitySuites in Manchester.  

Stockport County said Bailey's management experience across different areas will be a valuable asset to the club's next chapter.
