Three youths, aged 13, 14, and 15, have been charged with a total of 23 offences following an investigation by Stockport's neighbourhood crime team.

The three males will appear at Manchester and Salford magistrate's court today (15 August), having been charged with offences including burglary and vehicle theft.

The incidents took place earlier this month in the Edgeley and Adswood areas.

Police sergeant Kevin Martinelli, of the Stockport neighbourhood crime team, said: "Burglary is an offence that affects everyone in the household, often having lasting effects which continue to affect the victim for years after the event.

"Burglary continues to be a priority for us, in terms of both detection and prevention, and we will always act on intelligence and reports from the public.

"Stockport neighbourhood crime team will continue to target offenders responsible for burglaries, robberies and theft of motor vehicles.

"If you have been burgled or wish to report any crime or information, please report it to GMP on 101 or using the live chat function at https://www.gmp.police.uk. Always dial 999 in an emergency."
