Talented young entrepreneurs will be hosting a market at the Merseyway shopping centre on Wednesday 28 May from 9.30am until 2.30pm.

The Teenage Market will feature 20 stalls, offering a huge range of handmade creative products.

The Teenage Market was founded in Stockport in 2012 by brothers Tom and Joe Barratt - since then, it's expanded to a national phenomenon, and has held around 400 markets across the country.

The aim is to give young people a free platform to showcase their unique talents, gain experience, and make money through their creativity.

And as well as the market itself, there will also be skateboarding sessions from 9.30-11.30am, as well as a ceramic workshop from 12-2pm.

Speaking about the upcoming event in Stockport, co-founder Joe Barratt said, "We're delighted to be partnering with Merseyway Shopping Centre to bring this very special Teenage Market event back to Stockport on Wednesday 28th May.

"It only seems like yesterday when we ran our very first event in Stockport in 2012, when I was a teenager myself.

"The success that we've had with the initiative since then has been nothing short of incredible, with young people across the whole country, from Carlisle to Margate, benefitting from the free platform that our events provide.
