A Laugh in Stockport Comedy Club | Thread | Thursday 30 January | 7pm (doors)

A Laugh In Stockport brings you live stand-up comedy on the last Thursday of every month, from the team who have been bringing the funny to town since 2005.

An event description reads: "More award-winning comedy in the heart of Stockport! This month with Tom TaylorKatie MulgrewJohn Lebbon, & Rich J Wall (MC)."

Foodie Friday | Market Place | Friday 31 January | 6-9pm

It's that time of the month again!

Market Place in Stockport town centre will host a myriad of street food traders in this much-loved event in the Stockport calendar.

Proceedings will run from 6-9pm on Friday 31 January.

A description for this event reads: "Foodie Friday is a truly unique social event for Stockport town centre, creating a continental-style, street cafe culture which appeals to all ages, and gives families a relaxed and enjoyable night out with their children."

If the prospect of all those traders peddling delicious cuisine from around the world isn't enough, then there will also be live music!

Mind Body Spirit event | Stockport Masonic Guildhall | Sat 1 - Sun 2 February | 10am-5pm

The historic Stockport Masonic Guildhall will host the return of Mind Body Spirit event from Saturday 1 - Sunday 2 February.

Proceedings run from 10am-5pm each day, with some workshops open until 6pm.

The event will see speakers, traders, and exhibitors come together for a full weekend of activities.

Those interested will be able to find meditation sessions, yoga, art, and much more. 

The event works like an open convention. Visitors pay an entry fee, and from there get access to a huge range of workshops and talks throughout the weekend. 

Guests are handed an itinerary upon entry, with which they can plan their day(s). Be mindful that there is lots to see!

  • Weekend pass - £10

It's an extra £1 for those buying tickets on the door.

Parking is £3 behind the Guildhall building.

Chris McCausland: Yonks! | Stockport Plaza | Sunday 2 February | 7.30pm

Catch renowned comedian Chris McCausland at Stockport Plaza on Sunday 2 February.

The show starts at 7.30pm.

The recommended age is 16+.

A description for this event reads: "You might have seen him on Strictly Come Dancing, Would I Lie to You, Have I Got News for You, The Royal Variety, QI, Blankety Blank, The Last Leg, and tons more as well.

"He's been called an "overnight success" – Even though he's been doing this for bloody yonks!

"Chris McCausland is hitting the road again with another masterclass in stand-up comedy that has literally been yonks in the making – The last tour was a sell-out, so get your tickets now!"
