Home I’m Darling by Laura Wade | Chads Theatre, Cheadle Hulme | Sat 18 - Sat 25 October

Home, I'm Darling is an Olivier Award-winning comedy by Laura Wade (Image supplied)

Chads Theatre is staging a performance of Home, I'm Darling - the Olivier Award winning comedy.

A description reads: "Married Judy and Johnny live their dream 1950s lifestyle, each undertaking a traditional role. Judy is a stay-at-home housewife who dresses like a prom queen, makes Johnny's breakfasts, and irons his shirts. Johnny has a full-time job as an estate agent.

"Laura Wade's clever Olivier award winning comedy explores one woman's quest for a fulfilled life and marital bliss. But as cracks begin to appear in their idealised lifestyle, questions arise of just how blissful the 1950's really were."

This amateur production of "Home, I'm Darling" is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk

Note that there are two performances on Saturday 25th October:- the matinee at 2:30pm and the evening performance at 7:45pm.
