Flecky Bennett's Original Stockport Ghost Walk | meet outside Stockport Plaza | Fri 4 October | 7-9pm
Renowned tour guide Flecky Bennett is hosting another ghost walk - this time it's the original Stockport edition.
Described as 'Horrible Histories' for adults, you can expect spooky stories, humour, and interest in equal measure.
Flecky's tours have also earned him a Made in Stockport award in 2022.
A description for this event reads: "The performance starts outside the wonderful Plaza Theatre. Then, Flecky will guide you up the steps and down to the depths!
As you rise 256 feet above sea level, expect to listen to history, strange and funny stories, and ghosts! From mad hatters to haunted taverns, devils, dancehalls, and dungeons.
An Evening with Affinity Show Choir | Hazel Grove Bowling & Tennis Club | Fri 4 October | 7pm (doors)
Enjoy a special night of fun, music and celebration with the award-winning Affinity Show Choir on Friday 4 October.
As well as a performance from the Affinity Show Choir, visitors will also get a free glass of fizz on arrival. Further still, there will be bingo and a raffle with exciting prizes.

Stockport Militaria Fair | Masonic Guildhall | Sat 5 October | 9am - 2pm
Find antique arms, armour, and other memorabilia at this Stockport Militaria Fair, hosted by Stockport Militaria Collectors Society.
Tickets are £3 on the door, or free for accompanied under 18s.
This event also features a talk by Stuart Hall: "WWI Postcards: Propaganda, Patriotism and Hatred."
In Conversation with Sue Cleaver (book talk) | St Paul's Church, Compstall | Sat 5 October | 7pm
Sue Cleaver - best known for playing Eileen Grimshaw in Coronation Street - will be visiting Romiley on Saturday 5 October to discuss 'A Work in Progress', her new autobiography.
"I'm not past my prime - and neither are you!", says Sue in this memoir. Aimed at those middle-aged woman who feel "newly invisible, silenced, underestimated or diminished", the book shares Sue's experiences, life stories, and offers advice on realising one's potential at this stage in life.
"From knowing our worth, looking ahead with excitement and possibility, and realising that we still have so much to give and enjoy, this is a book that will change lives", says Sue.
The talk takes place at St Paul's Church, and starts from 7pm.

Heatons Comedy Evening | Heatons Sports Club | Sun 6 October | 7.45-10pm
Enjoy a night of comedy in the Heatons, featuring Danny Mcloughlin, Tom Taylor, and MC Mick Ferry.
Tickets are £13.20 - that's including the booking fee.
A description for this event reads: "Fully seated. 18+ Proper sweary swearing. We want all our guests to have a great night so please respect those around you by turning off your phone and not talking whilst the show is in progress."
