Residents of Stockport borough are spoiled for choice when it comes to things to do this weekend.
Beginning on Friday and spanning the whole weekend is the 'Vernon Mill Remembers' Town of Culture event, which will feature art workshops, ghost tours, local history, and much more.
Saturday, meanwhile, will see a similarly landmark event on the other end of the borough - Bramhall Day. As well as artisan markets, visitors can also expect live music, free classes, and more.
Also on Saturday - and continuing on to Sunday - is a children's weekend on castle street in Edgeley. Expect street games, discos, and miniature walking tours on Saturday, and child-friendly talks and workshops on Sunday.

A special Town of Culture event will take place at Vernon Mill, Portwood, in March.
From Friday 8 to Sunday 10 March, the third floor of this historic cotton mill will be open to visitors.
On Friday 8th, local musicians The Weavers will perform live music themed around the history of industry and the mill.
On Saturday, meanwhile, Droylsden Little Theatre will perform a specially-commissioned play titled 'Stitches in Time' described as a collection of stories from Stockport and the mill's history, "spun together in a single thread".
And the supernaturally-inclined can also catch a 'spine-tingling' seance as part of the event, where twelve tales from the mill's past will be "illustrated through mentalism [...] to bring the past to life in eerie and thrilling ways".
The spokesperson adds: "The arts are a powerful vehicle of cultural exchange with which to communicate the story of people of the past in music, drama and artwork.
"Our research has been exciting and thought-provoking. Our cultural heritage holds a special place for all of us in Stockport. A warm welcome awaits you on floor three of Vernon Mill."
Bramhall Day | Village Square | Sat 9 March | 10am-late
Bramhall is in for a treat this weekend as a special 'Bramhall Day' event takes place throughout the village.
Visitors can expect all sorts - from music to a Worker Bee market.
The Worker Bee markets run on special occassions throughout the year in various locations in Stockport. Each market features around 40 local artisan traders, purveying everything from homeware to homemade pies.
The Bramhall event - due to take place from 10am on Saturday 9 March - is no exception. More than 40 traders and makers, many of them local to Bramhall, will set up in Village Square, for a full day of trading and activities.
What's more, in addition to the traders, a wide range of performances, activities and workshops will also be taking place on the day, making the event doubly special.
Edgeley Fun Day | Castle Street | Sat 9 - Sun 10 March | 11am-2pm each day
If a flagship new art installation at the Armoury roundabout wasn't enough, there are even more cultural spectacles to enjoy in Edgeley this weekend.
On Saturday 9 March, a family fun day will take place on Castle Street from 11am-2pm. This Town of Culture event will constitute a 'day of play' for young residents in Edgeley and beyond.
Included in the itinerary is a street disco, giant chalk for some friendly graffiti, a googly-eye walking tour, and a range of street games (including hopscotch, ring toss, and more).
And this is only half of the equation - the fun continues on Sunday 10 March, with child-friendly 'open mic' speakers, seed-bombing workshops, and more.
Proceedings on Sunday will also run from 11am-2pm.
