There is lots to do in Stockport this weekend.

Beginning proceedings on Friday is a performance from top tribute act The Cavern Beatles at Stockport Plaza, kicking off at 7.30pm. Stall tickets are still available as of time of writing.

Saturday, meanwhile, will see another musical performance - different in tone perhaps, but whose artist has certainly influenced the Beatles! Manchester Bach Choir and Chamber Orchestra will perform Bach's St John Passion at St Paul's Church from 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm).

Rounding off the weekend on Sunday is a market featuring talented local entrepreneurs from across the borough; The Teenage Market features traders in a huge range of items, and takes place from 11am-4pm in Edgeley Park's 1883 conference suite.

The Cavern Beatles | Stockport Plaza | Fri 12 April | 7.30pm

Top Beatles tribute band The Cavern Beatles will take to the stage at Stockport Plaza on Friday 12 April.

The show starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets in the stalls are still available as of time of writing, with prices at £31. Find tickets HERE.

A description for this event reads: "The show is a Magical History Tour through the works of the greatest pop music phenomenon.

"Replicating, in both sight and sound, the excitement and energy of Beatlemania, the psychedelic era of Sgt. Pepper, and the creative masterpieces of The White Album and Abbey Road."

JS Bach - St John Passion | St Paul's, Heaton Moor | Sat 13 April | 7pm (doors)

A performance of Bach's St John Passion by Manchester's Bach Choir and Chamber Orchestra will take place at St Paul's Church, Heaton Moor, on Saturday 13 April.

Doors open at 7pm, with the performance expected to start at 7.30pm.

According to the Netherlands Bach Society: "In the St John Passion, Bach sets the Passion of Christ to music as the story is told in the Gospel of John. He first performed the piece at Vespers on Good Friday (the Friday before Easter), in Leipzig. It was the first Passion music he had written as cantor in Leipzig."

Tickets are £15.40, and can be found HERE.

The Teenage Market | 1883 Suite, Edgeley Park | Sun 14 April | 11am-4pm

Budding entrepreneurs in Stockport will be able to try their hand at market trading at an upcoming event at Edgeley Park.

The 'Teenage Market' will take place on 14 April, from 11am-4pm in the stadium's 1883 conference suite.

It gives free stalls to young traders from the ages of eight upwards, allowing them to sell their own handmade products.

Visitors can expect everything from individual products, through to interactive stalls on photography, hair and beauty, art and design, and more.

Founded in 2012, the Teenage Market's aim is to "celebrate the abundance of creative talent in our town".

Further still, there will be performances from the Stockport Music Project, the Garrick Youth, AB Academy and lots more, just to add to the buzzing atmosphere.

For more information, and if you'd like to be involved with either this market or an upcoming one, see the website HERE.
