There is lots to do in Stockport over the next few days.

On Friday is the 'We Are Stockport' event in Viaduct Park. This free event is organised by RESPECT, and aims to bring members of Stockport's LGBTQ+ community together for a celebration. Also on Friday is the 'Food on Friday' event in Romiley precinct, featuring food traders and live music.

Saturday, meanwhile, will see the return of the Stockport antiques fair at the town hall. There will also be a Morris Dancing festival in the town centre! Further still, the Vernon in the Park free family fun day will be taking place in Vernon Park.

Rounding off the weekend on Sunday is the Bramhall duck race, featuring races, rides, street food, and a Worker Bee Market.

Romiley will host a mini festival of food, drink and music on Friday 17 May.

The Food On Friday festival is organised by the Romiley Traders, an association of local businesses in the area.

It will take place at Romiley Precinct, from 6.30-9.30pm.

The event will feature more than 10 different food stalls, as well as a range of bars which will be open for the duration.

Visitors can expect a similarly delicious range of options to last year's events, which featured cuisine from Italy Cyprus, India, Thailand, and more.

Also on the night is an appearance from the Chicagoland Blues Brothers - themselves no strangers to Romiley, having performed at Romiley Forum and at last year's 'Food on Friday' event.

Look forward to the big stage going up again!

The event is sure to be a great way to spend a Friday evening, and to support local businesses while doing so.
