There is lots to do in and around Stockport this weekend!
Those looking for a calm and creative day will find much to enjoy at Staircase House, where embroidery and leather crafts will be taking place on Saturday 20 January.
That same evening, 70s icons Showaddywaddy will take to Stockport Plaza for a 50th anniversary performance, in what is sure to be a special evening for many.
Rounding off the weekend is Mrs Boon's tea party at Bask, featuring live music, cake (and possibly some bingo!).

Make a leather coinpurse / embroidery lessons | Staircase House | Sat 20 January | 10.30am-12.30pm / 1.30-3.30pm
Visit Staircase House for some fun and relaxing craft sessions with artist Caroline Coates.
In the mini embroidery session you will make your own unique piece of wearable textile art, guided by Caroline step-by-step.
All materials are provided to make either a necklace or brooch. We'll help you create one of many templates available, or create your own design.
In the leatherworking session, Caroline will guide you to make and paint your own no-sew simple purse and then decorate to create a truly unique accessory. Vegan alternatives will be available.
Both sessions are for adults only, ages 16 and over.
Embroidery runs from 1030am-12.30pm; the coinpurse class runs from 1.30-3.30pm

Showaddywaddy 50th Anniversary Concert | Stockport Plaza | Sat 20 January | 7.30pm
Showaddywaddy take to the stage at Stockport Plaza on Saturday 20 January for a special anniversary concert.
Describing themselves as 'the greatest rock & roll band in the world', this concert is sure to be a night of popular favourites for both young and old fans alike.
A description for this event reads: "[Showaddywaddy's] 50th Anniversary shows will be dynamic and uplifting, featuring all their greatest hits, many of which reached number one in the pop charts across Europe.
"'Under The Moon of Love', 'Three Steps to Heaven', 'Hey Rock & Roll', 'When', 'Blue Moon', 'Pretty Little Angel Eyes' and many, many more.
"So come and join the 'Dancin' Party'… 'You've Got What It Takes'!"
Around 200 seats are still available as of 5pm on Thursday 18 January.

Mrs Boon's Tea Party | Bask | Sun 21 January | 2-5pm
Mrs Boon's Tea Party runs from 2-5pm and involves live music and cake. What's not to like?
A description for this event reads: "Come and join the Boons for a festive Sunday of fun, live music and cakes! A special Boon's Bingo is on the cards too!"
This event takes place from 2-5pm on Sunday 21 January (last entry at 4.30pm).
General admission tickets are £13.50.
