There is lots to do in and around Stockport this weekend!

Friday will see another Outside the Box comedy night at Stockport's Garrick Theatre, featuring Kate Martin, Mike Newall, Martin Mor, and MC Kent Cameron.

On Saturday, the Cheadle Makers Market will take over the picturesque Cheadle Green for a day of artisan trading.

Rounding off the weekend on Sunday is another market, but this time it's an alternative one, running at Bask from 10am-2.30pm.

Outside the Box is hosting a comedy night at the Garrick on 1 March, starring Kate Martin, Mike Newall, Martin Mor, and MC Kent Cameron.

Outside the Box comedians perform in a number of clubs across the UK, with legendary names such as Stephen Merchant, Bill Bailey, Dara O'Briain, Lee Mack, Jimmy Carr, and more all having made appearances for the club. 

This is not the only comedy night at the Garrick, with dates set throughout the year. Each night features four comedians from Outside the Box, including both circuit comics and brand new talent.  

As the club states: "Not only popular for recognisable faces, Outside The Box strives to find the best circuit comics and brand new talent to each and every venue. 

"Every bill is designed specifically for each club and we're proud to be known for having a group of gigs that are not only fun for the audience but also for the comedians who perform."

Cheadle Makers Market | Cheadle Green | Sat 2 March | 10am-4pm

The Cheadle makers market returns on Saturday 2 March. The traders will set up on the Cheadle Green (SK8 2BD), and will be open from 10am-4pm.

A description for this event reads: "Join us [...] for an abundance of the North West's finest makers, bakers and creators.

"Expect an an array of art, craft, food, drink, coffee, music and street food - a great day out for all of the family."

Stockport Alternative Market | Bask | Sun 3 March | 10am-2.30pm

Stockport Alternative Market will return to Bask on Sunday 3 March from 10am-2.30pm.

The market will see 12 local artists and traders, along with food, drink and music.

A description for this event reads: "It's free entry, and will feature a great selection of unique traders, a bangin' playlist and our great food and drink selection."
