Two people have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft after stolen bikes were recovered from an address in Stockport.

Police discovered an e-bike and two motorbikes on the Bridge Hall estate near Adswood, which were suspected stolen.

A 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft and handling stolen goods.

They have since been bailed pending further investigations.

Detective Sergeant Tarr from Greater Manchester Police's Stockport Neighbourhood crime team said: "We have been doing a significant amount of work around stolen motorbikes and e-bikes in the area, so to take these stolen vehicles off the streets is a massive positive for us.

"Results such as these are not possible without the information and intelligence we receive from the public. If you have information about thefts in your area, please don't hesitate to contact us.

"We are committed to doing all we can to tackle this type of criminality. Crime prevention advice can be found on our website - Protect your motorcycle, moped or scooter from theft | Greater Manchester Police

"You can do this by contacting us on 101 or via the 'Live Chat' function on our website. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
