Tributes have been paid to the man who was tragically killed after being hit by a bus on the A6.

The man, who has been identified as Ross Grealey, was a dad and granddad who was 'loved by everyone'.

Ross' daughter Carla shared: "Dad, I'm truly heartbroken. I still can't understand any of it. I just wish it hadn't happened.

"Devastated isn't even the word. I can't get my head around the fact that you're no longer going to be here. You were a pain in the arse, but you were MY pain in the arse!

"I'm so proud to call you my dad. You were one of a kind, loved and liked by so many people. My boy JJ will carry your beautiful curls, and I promise he will grow up knowing all about you and how special you were. He will never forget you, and neither will I.

"I will carry you on your final journey, Dad, just as I always carried you through life.

"You have truly touched and affected so many people's lives. It's heartbreaking to see just how many people are hurting and how loved you really were.

"Me, Ross and all the amazing staff at Wellspring will make sure you get the best send-off you deserve.

"Life will never be the same without you, Dad. I love you more than words could ever explain.

"Forever my dad, forever in my heart.

"Your Carla

"Take care, Dad. Xxx"

His son Ross shared: "Dad, I honestly can't believe this has happened. I wish me and you had more time together. There's so much left unsaid and so much more I wish we could have shared. We were both to blame for things at times, but one thing I never want you to doubt is how much I truly love you. I will always look up to you.

"I'm so proud and privileged to have your name and your looks. I couldn't be prouder to be your son.

"You're now a grandad to a beautiful baby girl, who was born just a day after this tragedy. I wish with all my heart that you could have met her. She will grow up knowing all about you, your mad life and the person you were. I'm so glad she gets to carry your surname on. A little piece of you will live on through her.

"And Carla, you've always been there for Dad throughout his life, but you should see her now. The amount she has done and continues to do to make sure you get the perfect send-off is unbelievable. She's going above and beyond, and I know how much that means.
