'Time to say goodbye' - Heaton Moor cafe and bar closes its doors
By Alasdair Perry 10th Aug 2026
A popular Heaton Moor cafe and bar is closing its doors.
Nook, based at 111 Heaton Moor Road, has cited rising costs and limits on their music and outdoor provision as having a 'significant impact' on the business.
The venue thanked its customers for '12 unforgettable years' in a statement on social media, saying they were 'forever grateful'.
In the same statement, Nook said the aforementioned limitations had seen bookings drop by around 50 percent this year.
"Combined with the ever-rising costs facing the hospitality industry, we've reached the incredibly difficult decision to close our doors", they said.
"From all of us at Nook, we want to say a huge thank you to every single one of our customers - especially our regulars - for your loyalty, support, and the memories you've helped create over the past 12 years.
"You've been with us through every high and low, and we'll be forever grateful."
Nook was a cafe by day and a bar by night.
It also hosted regular music nights, serving as a catalyst among Stockport's many talented musicians.
