Police were called to Waitrose on Park Lane at around 9.10pm on Sunday, September 7, 2025, following reports of a burglary.
"Officers attended and found the store had been broken into, with an unsuccessful attempt made to steal the cash machine inside," Cheshire Police report.
Three men from Greater Manchester were later arrested in connection with the incident.

Brown, of Lincoln Road, Middleton, Wheeldon, of East Lancashire Road, and Williams, of St Bernard's Avenue, Salford, are due to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Friday, June 12.
