The Voice star to perform free gig in Edgeley this weekend
Edgeley is playing host to one of its own famous faces this weekend.
James Barlow - who successfully auditioned for The Voice last month - comes home to play a free gig on Castle Street this Saturday 30 November, from 11.30am-12 noon.
Further still, the day will also see a festive street market, organised by Worker Bee Markets, running from 10.30am-2.30pm.
There will be more than 30 stalls purveying handmade goodies including local beers, gifts, crafts, foodie treats and handmade Festive decorations.
The event also includes family fun, face painting, free sand art activities, plus freshly-prepared International street food including Indian chaat, Asian snacks and loaded toasties.
And, as well as James' performance, there's festive music playing throughout the market which runs from 10.30am-2.30pm.
James is a talented 22-year-old singer, currently a student. Amazingly, he only started performing live around three years ago - a testament to how naturally gifted he is as a singer and performer.
His recent performance on The Voice UK went down a storm.
Speaking of his experiences on Instagram, James said: "The support and confidence this whole experience has given me is indescribable.
"This audition has provided me with the greatest gift of all… a memory. I will forever have the memory and video of making my family proud before my father passed away. All I can do is continue to head in the right direction with the knowledge of his presence behind me."
