Cheshire Constabulary are appealing for information following a robbery in Poynton on 1 June, in which a pedal bike was stolen from a teenage boy.

It is understood that two unknown men had stolen the bike from a boy who was cycling along Chester Road, in the direction of the railway station.

The incident is believed to have taken place between 5pm and 5.15pm.

The teenager was approached by two men who were riding a black moped, wearing black tracksuits and balaclavas.

The two suspects showed the victim a knife, and demanded the pedal bike. Police also state that the teenager was assaulted during the incident.

The stolen bike is a silver Boardman MTR/8.6.

Detective Sergeant Keith Graham said: "We would like to reassure the public that we are doing all we can to trace those responsible.

"We are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to get in touch with us, as well as anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of what happened.

"We would also like to appeal to anyone who may have seen those matching the description of the suspects in the nearby area either before or after the reported incident.

"You can report information to us online via cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, or call 101, quoting IML-1837472."
