St Ann's Hospice is inviting intrepid explorers to take on a fundraising trek in a number of breathtaking locations.

The Heald Green-based charity, which supports people with life-limiting illnesses, is preparing for its annual Overseas Trek challenge.

As part of the challenge, St Ann's will support participants on one of two amazing 2026 trips - the Spanish Three Peaks and the Inca Trail.

All money raised will go towards St Ann's.

The Spanish Three Peaks will run from 30 September until 4 October 2026. It will take in three of Spain's highest mountains - Veleta, Alcazaba, and Mulhacén. Mulhacén is Spain's highest peak at 3,482m.

The Inca Trail trek, meanwhile, will see a multi-day hike culminating in the enchanting Inca ruins at Machu Picchu.

This trip takes place from 30 October until 8 November 2026.

Tizzie Brass took part in an oversees trek in May 2025, to raise funds for St Ann's Hospice in memory of her dad. She took on the Great Wall of China trek which was available to the 2025 participants.

"It was unlike anything I'd ever experienced," Tizzie said.

Tizzie shared her enthusiasm for the overseas adventure: "I can't recommend a trip like this enough. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I took so many photos, but they don't capture the full magic—you've got to experience it for yourself. And knowing you're raising money for a brilliant cause and in memory of our loved ones makes it even more meaningful."

For those interested in taking part, St Ann's is hosting an information evening on 24 September 2025. Register interest and / or find more information here.
