It's results day for GCSE and other level two students across the borough.
Students will be heading into their schools throughout the morning to pick up their results.
Stockport MP Navendu Mishra said: "Congratulations and best of luck to students in Stockport receiving their GCSE results today!
"I thank all teachers and school staff in Stockport for supporting students to achieve their best in their exams."
Stockport Council offered congratulations, as well as advice for those who came away from results day a little disappointed.
"Good luck to everyone who is receiving #GCSEResults today! You've worked so hard to get this far", a spokesperson said. "No matter what happens, please know that support is available – we're here for you! https://www.healthystockport.co.uk/exam-results."
At Stockport Grammar, pupils were 'thrilled' with their results.
63% of the school's grades were 9-7, and 22% were at the highest grade of 9.
Among those celebrating is Cara Bell, who earned no less than ten 9s and one 8. She will study English, Geography, History and Spanish at A Level.
Selwyn Cheung celebrated similarly exceptional results, with nine 9s and an 8. He'll go on to A Levels at Stockport Grammar in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics, with a view to a possible career in Medicine.
Head of Senior School Mrs Sarah Capewell said: "I am extremely proud of our pupils for achieving such outstanding GCSE results. I look forward to seeing them progress into the Sixth Form and I'm excited to see what achievements lie ahead."
