The River Island store in Stockport's Merseyway centre has re-opened today (Tuesday 28 May) following a temporary closure.

The fashion outlet suddenly closed its doors last week - a River Island spokesperson told The Manchester Evening News that this was due to 'severe flooding', and that contractors were called in to repair the damage.

Opening hours have now reverted to normal.

A statement from Merseyway Shopping Centre reads: "Our River Island store has now re-opened. Thanks for your co-operation during this time."

You can find the Stockport River Island store at 36-46 Merseyway, Stockport SK1 1SY.

Opening hours are 9am-5.30pm Monday to Saturday, and 10.30am-4.30pm on Sunday.
