Local business Coffee Block has picked up a prestigious food and drink award.

The much-loved Stockport-based coffee house picked up the 'Food and Drink Establishment of the year 2025' at the North West Family Business awards.

Held at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool on Friday 9 May, the awards ceremony aimed to 'champion the finest family businesses across the region'.

Coffee Block was up against difficult competition from other local businesses across the North West, but was able to claim the number one spot in its category.

It's a continuation of what has already been a successful start to the year for Coffee Block - the business opened a second branch at St Peter's Square in January 2025, which has already proved popular with customers.

Their first shop at 4-6 Merseyway opened in June 2022, and has picked up a host of other awards since then.

Dave Howarth, Coffee Block's managing director, said of this recent win: "We are so thrilled to win this prestigious award.

"It's been an exciting year for Coffee Block with the opening of our second site on Petersgate square and this is the icing on the cake!

"We had an amazing night at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool."
