The Primark in Stockport town centre will be refurbished this year for a 'new and refreshed look and feel'.
The refit will take place in spring / summer of this year, and comes as part of a £75m investment from Primark in its stores across the country.
A spokesperson for the fashion retailer said that the refits would differ between stores, but that it could include the introduction of self checkouts, modifications to the layout, new fitting rooms, and new decor and signage.
The spokesperson said: "Our refit programme gives our existing stores a new and refreshed look and feel and an even better Primark shopping experience."
Across the country, the £75m will also go towards opening new stores; combined with the refurbishments of existing stores, this would give Primark eight million sq. ft of selling space by the end of the year.
Kari Rodgers, UK Retail Director at Primark said: "We've changed a lot in the fifty years since we opened the doors on our first store in Great Britain in Derby back in 1974, but at our heart, we are still the same.
"We're as committed as ever to offering the very best value on the high street and making great fashion more affordable and accessible for everyone.
"This latest investment will mean bigger and better stores, hundreds of new jobs across the country and shows our ongoing commitment to the UK high street."
At current, Primark employs 30,000 people across its 192 stores. The company was founded in 1974, when its first shop opened in Derby.
