Stockport restaurant to give away free margherita pizzas
If you are saving dough this February, you could score yourself a free pizza in Stockport town centre.
That's because a Stockport pizzeria is giving out free pizza for one day only.
Pizza Express, of Bridgefield Street, is giving away free Margherita pizzas on Friday 9 February, in celebration of National Pizza Day.
All you have to do is turn up to the restaurant wearing black and white stripes, styling out the chain's monochrome aesthetic.
Still, you'll need to be quick - there are 14,000 to claim across the country, so make sure you arrive early. If you do make it, simply place your order for a classic, vegan or gluten-free Margherita pizza. The pizzeria team will do the rest.
Paula MacKenzie, CEO at PizzaExpress, said: "This National Pizza Day sees us pay homage to our incredible pizza chefs, through celebrating our iconic black and white stripes. Stripes have played a huge part in our identity, dating back to 1965, so don your stripes and celebrate National Pizza Day with the original Margherita pizza, for free!"
Additionally, any PizzaExpress Club member who dines on Friday and earns a loyalty stamp will be entered into a prize draw to win a trip to Italy, retracing the steps of brand founder Peter Boizot as he embarked on his journey to bring pizza to the UK.
