Three pubs in Stockport are taking donations of advent calendars and Christmas selection boxes for charity.

The following pubs are collecting from 14 October to 24 November:

  • The Queens - Bredbury
  • The Jolly Crofter - Edgeley
  • The Thatched Tavern - Reddish

All of the boxes and calendars will then be donated to local charities, to ensure that everyone gets a treat in the lead up to Christmas.

If you'd like to donate, you can simply hop in during opening hours and drop off your donation.

There are 77 other pubs across the North West taking part in the same scheme - they all form part of the Proper Pubs chain.

Over the past two years, across its estate of more than 200 pubs, Proper Pubs has donated almost 40,000 Christmas selection boxes to local charities through the generosity of its visitors.
