Stockport named among best places to live for working mums

Stockport is one of the best places to live in England if you're a working mum.
That's according to new data which assesses factors such as income, childcare support, women's employment, school access, and more.
Compiled by CoworkingCafe, the data was analysed by local council area, and those areas were then placed into rankings.
Stockport was deemed to be the ninth best place to live in England and Wales as a working mum.
It scored particularly highly when it came to childcare, with just two children per place and fees averaging £5.30 an hour.
Stockport also has higher than average GP coverage, with around 85 practitioners per 100 residents.

Income and rent also compared favourably, with average rent at £972 per month, and median female pay at £33,200 (with a 71.8 percent employment rate for women).
"Stockport balances work, services and costs in a way that helps family life run more smoothly", CoworkingCafe said.
Taking the top spot was Lancaster, with its plentiful schools, cheap childcare, and high employment.
Nearby Chester and Warrington also scored highly, at fourth and fifth respectively.
However, Stockport remains the only Greater Manchester location to make it into the top 10.
Introducing the rankings, Coworking Cafe said: "Balancing work and family life has never been simple, but, for working mums, the challenge often comes down to where you live.
"Against this backdrop, access to quality childcare, attainable housing, strong job markets, and reliable health care can make the difference between a daily struggle and a routine that runs smoothly."
