Stockport Homes Group has won the Landlord of the Year accolade at the National Affordable Housing Awards.

Stockport Homes manages the housing stock owned by Stockport Council.

The awards ceremony took place on 17 November in Manchester. According to the organisers, the awards were about "identifying the social landlords, charities and partners, who work with their communities to deliver great outcomes".

The winners were judged by a panel of tenants, experts, and representatives from local and national government.

Speaking of its win, Stockport Homes said: "This recognises the hard work and achievements of the team at SHG at a time when service delivery and support for customers is more important than ever."

Jenny Osbourne, Chair of the Board added: "We are proud to be recognised for our continued approach to listening to customer feedback, and how we inspire our teams to deliver excellent services and support.

"In difficult economic times, our services are in higher demand than ever before and it's through the dedication of our teams that we can continue to make a positive difference in the communities we serve."
