Stockport Grammar School is celebrating an impressive year of GCSE results, with pupils looking forward to progressing onto A Level.

This year, 63 percent of grades at Stockport Grammar were either 9, 8 or 7.

23 percent of grades were 9, the highest possible mark.

Almost 96 percent of pupils achieved 5 or above, with the national average for 4 and above being 67.3 percent.

All pupils who studied Drama, German, Statistics, Music, Religious Studies and EPQ achieved 9-4 grades.

Erina is one of the students celebrating this year, after earning a whopping eight 9s and one 8. She said she is 'over the moon', and will be studying Biology, Chemisty and Spanish at Stockport Grammar's Sixth Form.

Keen musician Nathan was similarly happy with his results of three 9s, five 8s and one 7.

Headteacher Mrs Sarah Capewell said: "I am so proud of our pupils for their outstanding GCSE results.

"These outcomes reflect their hard work, determination, and resilience, supported by the dedication of our staff and the encouragement of families.

"The results are a testament to the strength of our school community and the high aspirations our pupils hold for themselves. I wish them every success as they take the next steps in their education and future careers."
