Stockport-based solicitors THP Law have expanded into Cheshire, with a new site in Macclesfield.

In this latest Stockport success story, the local business will aim to tap into a "brand new vibrant market", in the words of director Mark Whitehall.

It is a like for like switch as THP Law now reside in the offices of the long-running solicitors Aboudi Bradley and Co.

THP Law will be continuing the practice that was previously there, working with the existing clientele.

Currently THP Law employ roughly ten people across their three offices, with the new Macclesfield office being headed by Senior Partner Mark Whittell.

The firm is led by Mark Whittell and Victoria Greenwood.

Mr Whittell had this to say about the news: "Many years ago when my father was giving me careers advice, he always said he saw me working as a solicitor in a market town like Macclesfield.

"And so when the opportunity came up to buy a practice in Macclesfield, in memory of my father, I jumped at it.

"Macclesfield is a thriving business community, and it is completely separate from Bollington which likes to have its own separate identity, and it's completely different from Stockport so we're moving into a brand-new vibrant market."

The services THP Law offer ranges from residential conveyancing, lasting powers of attorney (LPAs), litigation, dispute resolution, as well as probate and wills.

Dispute resolution is new to the practice, and was not previously offered by Aboudi Bradley.

"THP Law will continue the tradition of Aboudi Bradley to provide a traditional and professional service which will add to the services offered by the profession in Macclesfield.

"I am also excited about our litigation service. While litigation is carried out very competently by other Macclesfield solicitors, there is a niche for commercial litigation cases in which I have specialised for many years and so people will not need to go out of town for advice."

THP Law's opening hours is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Bank Holidays closed.

THP gets heavily involved in with charity work in Stockport and Bollington (where they also have a site), and they would like to do that in Macclesfield too. They strive to be invested in the community - for example, they are sponsoring the upcoming Bollington Beer Festival.

Their new office is located at 35 Church St, Macclesfield SK11 6LB. (Image - Macclesfield Nub News)

The new Macclesfield office isn't the only cause for celebration, as the firm are celebrating their 85th anniversary this year.
