A sandwich shop known for its outlandishly delicious sarnies has opened a new store in Manchester Arndale.

Rack began in 2018 from a mobile van, before opening its first shop in 2021 on Lawrence Street, Stockport, just near the Sky building. Within a short space of time, the business has expanded across Greater Manchester, with stores in Sale, Stretford, Ancoats, and now central Manchester.

Since its founding, the eatery has quickly become a favourite of Stopfordians, boasting such creations as 'the lasandwich' and 'the beef birria', alongside stuffed focaccia, loaded bagels, and more.

Founder Josh Veasey told the Manchester Evening News: "We do a monthly special at the Stockport shop. People get pretty excited by it and call up asking what we're going to do next - but we keep it secret until the day itself."

Having already earned a dedicated customer base, Josh and business partner Rhys Samrai can look forward to bringing a Stockport success story to the city of Manchester.

The new store is situated in Arndale market, on the site of the old Salt & Pepper stall.
