Stepping Hill Hospital consultants and junior doctors are striking this week from 7am on Monday 2 October until 7am on Thursday 5 October, which will cause major disruption to services.

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the hospital, has advised that if you need medical care you should continue to come forward. Use NHS 111 online to help you access the right NHS service for your needs.

Stockport NHS said: "Please only call 999 or go to A&E if it's life-threatening. Each of us can play a part in making sure our emergency departments can help those most in need by using other services where appropriate. If you have an appointment, please still attend unless you are contacted and asked to reschedule. For more information , seethe news page on the trust website HERE.
