A Laugh in Stockport Unspun | Thread | Thu 5 March | 7pm doors, 7.45pm start

It's another night of first-class comedy at Thread.

A description for this event reads: "We get so many enquiries from new acts who are looking to take their first steps on the comedy ladder, as well as those who are a year or two into their stage careers, that we've decided to put on a new night at Thread to showcase their talents. It's aLiS Unspun!

"Similarly, established pro and semi-pro comedians need somewhere to run through their new material before taking it for a walk on the weekend comedy club circuit, so a few of them will be popping in as well.

"The comedy stars of tomorrow are taking their first steps on the stand-up stage today!"

The Spotlight - Mistrust (live music) | Bask | Thurs 6 March | 8-10pm

Following his recent appearance on the Dave Sweetmore Show, on Tameside Radio, Local Musician Tim Blackburn better known as "MISTRUST" will be performing his new single "YELLOW AND GREY FAREWELL" and songs from his latest album "Sunlight".

Bramhall International Food & Craft event | Village Square | Sat 8 March

Pyramid Players - The Dam Busters | Stockport Plaza | Sun 9 March | 3.30pm

Catch the fantastic Pyramid Players orchestra at Stockport Plaza this Sunday.

A description for this event reads: "The Pyramid Players bring you Eric Coates' The Dam Busters March, theme to the renowned 1950s film depicting the famous wartime raids by RAF 617 Squadron.

"Join our 40-piece orchestra for an afternoon of great light orchestral music live on stage at Stockport Plaza. Also featuring Michael Holmes on the Plaza's original Compton theatre organ."

Cider tasting | Petersgate Tap | Sun 9 March | 2pm

Visit Petersgate Tap for a cider tasting with Udders Cider who will be bringing along ciders and perries for you to try.

Tickets are £5 and include cheese as well as six ciders and perries.
