There is lots to do in Stockport over the next few days.

Kicking off the weekend is a quality tribute to Simon and Garfunkel at Stockport Plaza.

Saturday will see two summer fairs in Edgeley and Cheadle.

Rounding off the weekend on Sunday is the Northern Soul night at Bask.

A tribute concert to Simon & Garfunkel takes place at Stockport Plaza on Friday 5 July.

A description for this event reads: "Following sold out performances in London's West End, The Simon & Garfunkel Story continues to stun audiences across the globe, making it a must-see international sensation.

"Using huge projection photos and original film footage, the international hit show also features a full live band performing all the hits including Mrs Robinson, Cecilia, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound and many more."

Cheadle Summer Fair | Seashell, Stanley Road | Sat 6 July | 12-4pm

Enjoy a day out for all the family at this super hero themed community event, which will include bouncy castles, family fun, a stage of live music and DJ Alex James from Radio XS Manchester, artisan market stalls (from Worker Bee Markets) and yummy Streetfood to suit all tastes.

Join in the regular super hero parades throughout the day and support this important local charity too.

Entry £1. Free parking.

The event runs from 12noon to 4pm.
