Worship Night | St Mary's Church | Fri 7 November | 6pm

Mischievous witch Batilda has returned to Bramall Hall - she's looking to make a potion but has lost her ingredients around the hall.

Intrepid young visitors are invited to help the witch find her ingredients and help her make her potion.

A description for this family event reads: "Our resident witch, Batilda, returns this October with her ever-popular Potion Trail. Help her make her Halloween potion by finding all the ingredients that she has misplaced.

"This interactive spotting trail around the Hall is a family favourite, and perfect for curious young visitors.

"Costume is encouraged!"

Bramhall Festive Handmade Market | Village Square | Sat 8 November | 10am-3pm

A festive market is due to take place in Bramhall this weekend.

Organised by Worker Bee Markets, it features 50 talented, friendly, local makers, ready to make your Christmas shopping that bit more special.

It will be taking place from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 8 November in Bramhall's Village Square.

Worker Bee Markets hosts regular events across the borough, but this one in Bramhall will be their biggest and last of the year.

On offer will be unique gift ideas, tasty treats, festive home decor (to make the neighbours jealous) and quality handmade presents to please your family and friends.

The pedestrianised precinct also has its own play area for kids, and it boasts overhead cover so visitors will be sheltered from any adverse weather on the day.

There will also be entertainment all day, and the local independent businesses will all be open.

And best of all, it's free to attend!

Find more details about the event here.

Remembrance Sunday Services

There are a wide range of Remembrance Sunday ceremonies taking place across Stockport on 9 November.

A borough-wide service will be taking place at the War Memorial Art Gallery, with Mayor of Stockport Cllr Kerry Waters leading a two-minute silence from 11am.

The War Memorial Gallery itself will be open from 9.30am, with its remembrance room open for visitors to pay respects.

The stretch of A6 around the gallery will be closed temporarily while the service takes place.

In addition to this, there are lots of other Remembrance Sunday events taking place in other locations across the borough.
