A community market featuring up to 60 local traders is heading to Reddish this weekend.

This Worker Bee Market will take place on Saturday 29 March from 11am-3pm outside Broadstone Mill, and offers food, drink, and a massive selection of handmade gifts and other items.

It's sure to be the perfect day to browse for unique gifts and handmade cards that tell your mum how much you love her.

Choose from affordable jewellery, homeware, garden inspiration, handmade skincare and bath products, crochet, knitting, hand-poured candles and lots of tasty treats.

Worker Bee Markets are curated by Clare Simpson, who says her role is more like directing a performance than organising a shopping experience.

"You have to think about your cast - getting the best people to perform on the day", she said.

"Our makers are talented, friendly and approachable.

"They bring quality and integrity as well as putting on a blooming good show on the day, showcasing the makes and bakes they've been perfecting over the winter months.

"We've brought together a dream team of makers for our events. You'll find authentic Street food, lovingly handmade crafts and gifts as well as beautifully designed jewellery and homeware. There are seasoned performers and new, featured artists and crafters too.

"Each one has been chosen for their characterful affordability, their unique knowledge of the local area and, most importantly, their unrivalled talent.

"There'll be a few sub plots too from the charities and community groups we support as well as entertainment and activities for families to enjoy."
