'Huge boost' for Stockport businesses during free expo at Edgeley Park
Local businesses in Stockport got a 'huge boost' last week from a free business expo which ran at Edgeley Park.
The Stockport Business Expo took place on Wednesday 4 December, with hundreds of visitors throughout the day.
Local businesses were able to showcase their services and chat with other businesses throughout the area.
Organised by Leon Broster, the popular event hosted around 60 to 80 businesses, as well as speakers, workshops, and even a networking hour.
"It was great to see so many people at the Expo", Leon told Nub News. "There really is so much potential in the area - it was so clear in the range of businesses and the talent and drive of the individuals behind them.
"I think it's been a huge boost for local businesses. I just hope it's provided a lift and some inspiration for anyone who came along."
Leon organises similar events across the county.
"We have gone from strength to strength since our first event in Crewe last year", he said.
"We've held our events all across Cheshire, including Chester, Warrington, and Knutsford.
"Our sole purpose of these events is to bring the business community closer together, enabling growth across the region.
"It provides local businesses a platform to grow their brand and develop new, long-lasting business relationships.
"There really is something for everyone at the event, so make sure you are there."
