Lancashire Electrical Distributors (LED) is celebrating after winning the national 'Best Wholesaler – 1–5 Branches' award at The Electrical Wholesaler Awards 2026, held in London.

The annual awards recognise excellence across the UK electrical industry, celebrating the wholesalers, manufacturers, brands and individuals that continue to deliver outstanding service and raise standards across the sector.

For LED, the award is a significant achievement and recognition of the hard work and dedication of its team across its Stockport and Oldham branches.

Established in 1984, LED has been supplying electricians, contractors, businesses and the public across Greater Manchester and the North West for more than 40 years. The independent electrical wholesaler has continued to grow while maintaining the personal, knowledgeable service that has remained at the heart of the business.

Today, LED supplies an extensive range of electrical products, lighting, ventilation, fire and security products, EV charging equipment, tools, Portwest workwear and PPE. The company works with customers across a wide range of sectors, including social housing, education, commercial, industrial and residential projects.

The business has seen further growth following the acquisition of WEF in Oldham last year and the subsequent launch of LED Oldham, strengthening its presence across Greater Manchester.

Despite its expansion, LED remains committed to the qualities of an independent wholesaler: competitive pricing, knowledgeable staff, strong supplier relationships, reliable stock availability and a personal service.
