The Girl on the Train (amateur theatre production) | Chads Theatre | Sat 17 - Sat 24 October

Taut, atmospheric, and gripping from the very first moment, The Girl on the Train is a thrilling drama which follows Rachel as she becomes entangled in a missing persons investigation that blurs the lines between truth, memory, and obsession.
As fragmented recollections collide and secrets surface, nothing is quite what it seems. Dark, suspenseful, and emotionally charged. A journey into deception, desire, and the unreliability of perception.
Note that there are 2 performances on Saturday 24th October:- the matinee at 2.30pm and the evening performance at 7.45pm.

An Evening with Ben Miller | St Michael and All Angels Parish Church | Sun 18 October | 7-8pm

Join us for a very special evening with comedian, broadcaster, and bestselling author Ben Miller. For one night only, Ben will be with us in conversation about his new thriller A Very Dangerous Pursuit.
Afterwards, Ben will be taking your questions and signing copies of his brand new book.
About Ben Miller
Ben Miller is the Sunday Times bestselling author of thirteen children's books, including The Day I Fell Into a Fairytale and The Boy Who Made the World Disappear. He is also a much-loved, longstanding star of film, television and stage, best known for the BAFTA-winning The Armstrong and Miller Show, and his roles in Bridgerton, Death in Paradise, Professor T and Austin.
About A Very Dangerous Pursuit
Adventure can be a deadly business.
It began in the manner of all the very best adventures: in a coffee house.
When one Richard Hannay—intrepid, inquisitive, and on the hunt for intrigue—encounters an old acquaintance in Constantinople, he has an inkling that something thrilling is afoot.
Charged with an item of great mystery and import—a washbag, no less!—he soon finds himself in a very dangerous pursuit: from the luxurious confines of the Orient Express to the decks of the Titanic herself, all with the very fate of Europe in his care.
Can he slip the net of Count Schwabing, whose long arm stretches from Berlin to the Bosphorus? And what of Madame Zara, the cabaret enchantress—does she play at affection, deception, or something far more deadly?
In over his head, often a step—or thirty-nine—behind, but absolutely, resolutely determined to save the day, Hannay is about to embark on an escapade that will test his wits, his courage, and his ability to keep hold of a blasted washbag.
