Opening Weekend | Rockafellas | Fri 6 March (soft opening) / Sat 7 March (grand opening)

A new bar is opening in Stockport town centre, opposite Redrock.
A description for this event reads: "We open the doors on 5th March and we can't wait to finally show you what we've been building.
"Rockafellas is about proper music, proper drinks, and proper nights out. Disco, funk, soul and big house energy from the first track to the last one. No filler. No background noise. Just feel-good music and a room full of people up for it.

Boujee Bliss market | Market Street, Marple | Sat 7 March | 10am-3.45pm

The Boujee Bliss monthly market returns to Market Street in Marple this weekend, taking place on Saturday 7 March from 10am to 3:45pm.
A description for this event reads: "Our lovely markets are at the heart of the community, bringing people together to shop, chat, and enjoy time with family and friends.

Professor Jackie Carter author talk - International Women's Day | Stockroom | Sun 8 March | 11.30am-12pm

Author and academic Jackie Carter will be visiting Stockroom on Sunday 8 March for a special International Women's Day talk.
The talk runs from 11.30am-12pm - visitors are advised to arrive 10 minutes early.
A description for this event reads: "Join Professor Jackie Carter, author of Practitioner, Professor, Researcher, Reformer: Women's Atypical Stories, for an International Women's Day talk on why gender inequalities persist in academia and beyond."
