Section of Stockport Underbanks cordoned off after person hit by car

A police cordon was in place in Stockport Underbanks today (Thursday 19 March) after a person was hit by a car.
An area along Great Underbank between Stockroom and the Merseyway Car Park exit was taped off, with police at the scene.
The incident took place around 10am this morning (Thursday 19 March).
The person who was hit has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Emergency services were at the scene until around 3.30pm.
An investigation is underway.
