Man, 89, hit by van in Stockport Underbanks

Police are appealing for information after an 89-year-old man was hit by a van in Stockport Underbanks on Thursday (19 March).
The man sustained life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a Mercedes Sprinter Van, which was exiting the Merseyway car park as the man was crossing the road.
The driver stayed at the scene and assisted officers with their enquiries.
The 89-year-old was taken to hospital and is receiving treatment.
The incident took place at 10.07am, on Great Underbank.
Police put a cordon in place between the rear entrance of Stockroom and the Merseyway Car Park exit, before leaving the scene around 3.30pm.
Greater Manchester Police is carrying out an investigation, and has asked anybody with information to come forward.
This includes anyone who witnessed the incident, or has CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area.
