Police officers have taken an estimated £12,000 in drugs off the streets in Reddish.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police had been patrolling the Heatons and Reddish on Thursday 25 September when they searched two males.

The search revealed a large amount of Class A and B drugs.

The two were subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.

Police had been targeting 'hotspot' areas around the Heatons and Reddish, and were specifically aiming at tackling robberies and off-road bike activity.
