Edgeley hosts a Christmas lights switch on today (Thursday 28 November) from 4pm-6.30pm.

This festive event takes place on Castle Street. As a result, some road stretches will be closed temporarily, although most of Castle Street will remain open.

Moseley Street, and the section of Castle Street between the Jolly Crofter and the Greek Street roundabout will be closed from 1pm until 8pm, according to traffic data site one.network.

The event will of course see the lights switched on around Castle Street, but there's much more to look forward to.

Santa will be making an appearance, as will Vernon Bear.

Further still, there will also be stalls and music! It'll be a top way to enjoy the festive cheer.
