Housebuilder Bellway has made a £300 contribution towards the horticultural events at this year's Poynton Show.

A highlight in the village's annual events calendar, the Poynton Show is one of the North West's largest horticultural and agricultural gatherings, taking place every year at Poynton Show Ground on South Park Drive.

Located close to Bellway's Copperfields development on Dickens Lane, the housebuilder was 'pleased' to support the show by making a contribution towards the costs of publicity and promotion of the show, as well as assisting with scheduling and prize money.

Bryan Doherty, member of the Poynton Horticultural Committee, commented: "We are incredibly grateful to Bellway for its kind donation towards the show; there has been a show in Poynton since 1885 and donations from individuals and businesses are vital to its continued success."

As a thank you, Bryan Doherty and Poynton Horticultural Committee chairman Ken Carr used their expertise to create and install two stunning new planters for Bellway; overflowing with bright floral impatiens, petunias, antirrhinums and cineraria, the large planters have pride of place outside the sales office at Copperfields.

Grace Yarlett, sales director at Bellway, said: "The show is one of the most popular annual events in Poynton and we are pleased to be able to support it – an added bonus for us is the two gorgeous floral planters that the horticultural committee have done for us, they look fabulous and we are so grateful to them."

Speaking of Copperfields - located on Dickens Lane - Bellway said: "Copperfields is a beautiful new development of two, three and four bedroom detached and semi-detached homes less than two minutes' drive from Poynton village centre with its superb selection of independent shops, restaurants and everyday amenities.

"Homes at Copperfields are from Bellway's Artisan Collection showcasing a new standard in contemporary design for a discerning new generation of homebuyers. Properties are priced from £444,995 to £709,995. For further information please contact the sales office on 01625 243378 or visit the Bellway website HERE."
