Detectives in Stockport are appealing information following two assaults in Hazel Grove, which are believed to be connected.
Both assaults took place on the morning of Saturday 6 April 2024 at around 4am on the A6, at the crossroad junction of London Road and School Street.
Following initial enquiries, police say they are now in a position to appeal to the community for information.
The two male victims both required hospital treatment, with one man suffering life-changing injuries.
One was wearing a pink hooded top, and the other a navy-blue bubble coat.
As yet, no arrests have been made, but police are looking to speak to two men in connection with the incidents.
According to Greater Manchester Police: "One male is in his early 30s, 6 foot tall of medium build, short dark coloured hair on top, shaved at sides, wearing a t-shirt, dark tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down both legs and logo on left thigh in front of the pocket.
"The other male is described as being in his late 20s, 5' 10'' tall of thin build, short dark coloured hair on top, shaved at sides, wearing only dark shorts and dark footwear."
Detective Constable John Silk added: "After initial enquiries and exploring some lines of evidence we are now in a position to appeal to the local community and any eyewitnesses to the attacks.
"Especially anyone who may have some dashcam or doorbell CCTV footage that could help with the investigation, whether that be for one of the assaults or both.
"If anyone has information or detail that could help us piece together further what happened and identify any suspects, please contact us direct on 0161 856 7515 or 101 quoting incident log 0539 of 06/04/2024. Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
