Police are appealing for information following reports of an attempted robbery on a bus last month.

The incident occurred on 9 May around 11.15am, on a bus which was travelling along Burnage Lane (near Heaton Moor) to the Trafford Centre.

A man and woman were sitting on the top deck when another man approached and asked how much one of their watches was worth.

When they didn't reply, the man repeated his question before allegedly taking out a silver bladed knife.

He reportedly threatened to attack the victim, ultimately leaving the bus when he failed to get the watch.

Police would like to speak to the man in the picture above, as they believe he can help with enquiries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101 or gmp.police.uk, quoting log 3977 of 09/05/25.

Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
