Police appeal for information following collision on Great Underbank

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are appealing for information after an elderly man sustained a serious injury during a traffic collision.

Around 10am on Friday 31 May, police were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Great Underbank, between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian is a 76-year-old man - he was taken to hospital after the collision, and his injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

A statement from the police reads: "GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

"They are keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.

"Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 4741 quoting reference number 886 of 31/05/24."
