Police are appealing for information after 'several assaults' in Alexandra Park in Edgeley.

On Sunday 20 April between 1-2pm there was a dispute and several assaults between members of the public within the park, Greater Manchester Police reports.

GMP is investigating a serious assault of a teenage child.

Police are encouraging witnesses to come forward, as well as anybody who spoke to police on the day.

In a statement, GMP Stockport said: "If you have any information then we encourage people to contact Stockport CID on 0161 856 9815 and provide details.

"We equally need anyone who spoke to police in the park to come forward to help with enquiries."
